Joseph Maniscalco, Head Coach

Head coach and Founder of NY BlueFire Fastpitch Joe Maniscalco is a former Division I baseball player at Fordham University. He earned a full athletic scholarship from Chaminade High School to attend Fordham. While at Fordham, he amassed an impressive pitching record and was named team captain as a sophomore, an unprecedented accomplishment at the time. Coach Joe was an All-American at Fordham and played in the NCAA regionals. 25 years later, he is still in the top 10 for many pitching records. Shoulder surgery shortened his playing career. He has been teaching and training since graduating from college almost 25 years ago. Coach Joe is also a frequent lecturer and writer on fastpitch softball and performance related topics. He is a mentor to several student athletes and on the advisory board of different organizations in the sports community. He writes for National Fastpitch Coaches Association (“NFCA”) and has been applauded for his efforts in mental training and pyramid philosophy of Success.

Coach Joe resides in Wantagh with his wife Lisa and four daughters Brianna, Kaitlin, Julia and Olivia.
